WLSI-AM is Pikeville’s oldest radio station hitting the airwaves in 1949, just months before WPKE-AM. The East Kentucky Broadcasting Group added WLSI-AM to the group May 1, 2003. WLSI-AM has Talk Radio format and caters to the 45 and older group. The Talk Radio Network also includes WPRT-AM in Prestonsburg, WBTH-AM in Williamson, WV and 104.5 FM in Prestonsburg.
